Identifying and Assessing Talent
- Recruiting for long-term potential
- Auditing key existing talent capabilities
- Assessing internal talent potential
Organisations' ability to achieve their corporate strategies depends on having the right people with the right skills in place. Knowing the quality, quantity and potential of existing human capital as well as future requirements is therefore an essential in the talent management process.
Investment in developing existing talent has traditionally been significantly lower than expenditure on recruitment. Yet as recruitment is becoming both more competitive and more expensive, organisations need to invest more in identifying existing potential and, where recruitment is necessary, selecting for long-term potential as much as immediate performance capacity. We work with clients to develop appropriate processes for talent identification and assessment. We use our assessment expertise to audit key capabilities across organisations, establish competency frameworks and identify talent potential as a foundation from which to build subsequent development initiatives.
We deliver these services on behalf of clients or support the development of client capacity to implement the systems themselves. Our assessment processes can be used with both individuals and teams, and applied in individual assessment or assessment centres. Our assessments provide an evaluation of specific performance criteria, interpersonal chemistry and organisational fit and deliver career direction and recommendations for subsequent development initiatives over the short, medium and long-term.
